What you'll do
- Own end-to-end delivery of one or two studio products at a time, from architecture through launch
- Design APIs, data models, and integrations that scale past the MVP without rewrites
- Set the engineering bar through code review, RFCs, and tight feedback loops with the design and product team
- Mentor more junior engineers — pair-programming, technical 1:1s, growth plans
- Run the on-call rota for shipped products and the post-launch operations work
What we're looking for
- 6+ years shipping production web applications, ideally a mix of agency / studio and product company
- Deep TypeScript / Node experience, comfort with Next.js or equivalent React frameworks
- Strong relational database design (Postgres preferred), comfortable with caching and queues
- Genuine product instincts — you push back on bad scope and refactor specs before they hit the team
- Calm, written communication. Most of the studio works async.
